The threat of impending inflation is looming which has spooked the markets and led to sell-off of bonds over the past week, driving mortgage rates up. However, bonds are making a rebound today and there are rumors that the government could make another effort to push rates down.
If this does happen, it would be a good idea to take advantage of historically low rates while we have them. It seems inevitable at this point that inflation will return and perhaps in a big way because the government cannot continue to print money and not have inflation go up.
